What an opportunity for any grom, working with 2 of Australia’s best photographers + some of the best of the best riders. Mid 30’s is still considered Young Blood right?? Please!!!
Paul and I ran a very successful Young Bloods 2 years ago and thought it was time to run it again. With the likes of Declan McCarthy, James Carew, Billy Hampton attending the inaugural event and now very successful kiters we wonder who will be the standouts from the 2016 event.
This year we are stepping it up with world renowned pro-kiters Youri Zoon and Stefan Spiessberger and Ryland Blakeney holding clinics and we have a few other surprise guests as well. But kiting is not all just about the tricks! You need sponsors and a healthy body as well, so we have a Physiotherapist (who is a kiter) giving a talk on how to look after your body and prepare it for a long season of kiting. Once again Youri steps up and will give a talk on Sponsorships, how to get them, how to hold on to them and what the sponsors expect from you.
Part of being seen for potential sponsors is all about those photos and videos you post, both Paul and I will give an in depth talk on how to get those magazine photos including lighting, angles, location, lens and even different photographers styles.
Both Paul and I believe that we have to look after our up and coming riders and this is one way that we hope will help them have a long and amazing career in kiting. After initial interest from the industry then pulling out at the last moment both Paul and I are now doing this of our own backs.
Our passion is taking photos of Kiting and if there is no new people coming into the sport, then we have nothing to take photos of or industry to sell the products to.
