NKL ROUND 1 CROWNS QLD’S TOP KITEBOARDERS

The Classic Holidays NKL has come to a close on the Gold Coast yesterday following four days of kiteboarding action at Main Beach.

NKL competitors represented Queensland in Round 1 of the seven round series, with the top Wave and Freestyle riders for the state now heading for the Grand Final in February 2016.

President of Kiteboarding Queensland & Northern Territory Inc. (KBQNT) and NKL Event Director, David De Witt, said Round 1 of the NKL series has set the bar high for the rest of the national series.

“It’s been an exciting four days kicking off the first ever NKL series, and we have to congratulate the Round 1 winners and all the competitors for making it a great contest,” he said.

“We have seen so much talent here on the Gold Coast and we look forward to seeing what New Zealand has to offer us next.”

The NKL now sets is sights across the Tasman for Round 2, with New Zealand’s top riders heading for their event in Christchurch from 19 – 22 November.
