Aussie Freestyle 2018 Nationals Wrap Up

2015 champ Simon Wichtermann, unfortunately sidelined this year due to an ankle injury, judged this year’s Freestyle national titles. We asked him how the comp went this year:

“Was a great final day definitely great to see the level improving in all disciplines. Especially in the women’s Katie Potter absolutely killed it in the finals she almost had a flawless heat but crashed her last trick. She had one of the highest scoring tricks of the day with her front to blind.

Was great to watch Ewan ride again haven’t seen him for a while.  He definitely set the benchmark for everyone in the competition. His style has improved a lot since I’ve seen him last.
Was really impressed with the two local W.A. Brothers Emerson and Harrison they definitely have a good future ahead of them if they keep continuing the way they are.

Leo Vercrecchia definitely has a strong future as well he came over from Brisbane and it was his first National and was riding really well winning the Jayden Bosveld Recognition Awarded Supported by Adrenalin Rush Boardsports. ” Simon Wichtermann
