ION have introduced a new bridge inspired support technology to their harness range for 2016. The Apex Select Harness is one of the first harnesses to take advantage of ION’s patented Wire Tec technology.
INTRODUCING THE WIRE TEC SYSTEM FROM ION
Various foam inserts, anatomical pre-shaped back parts and much more – there are always new and sometimes very well-executed solutions, to spread the load of the Kite over the whole back. Mostly, however, you feel a much bigger pressure on those parts of the back where the upper and lower edge of the harness is placed.

ION’s Wire Tec design was inspired by cable stayed bridges.
Therefore ION has taken a lesson from the stability and load distribution of cable-stayed bridges and used this inspiration for the development of the brand new Wire Tec system. This new patented technology is distributing the force equally over the whole back with the help of wires, which are stretched adapted to the human anatomy.
ION APEX SELECT
The APEX is the benchmark harness for quality, comfort and all-round top performance. A Premium reduction of materials where possible sees a refined outline delivering a stylish reduced sidecut. In addition to this, ION has extended the soft foam edge for further protection of the hip and rib areas.
