Oli Panny’s is going to the Venyu Triple S Invitational after taking out the Wildcard video contest. We caught up with him to get his thoughts pre event. If you haven’t seen his winning video entry make sure to check it out at the same time.
FKM – Congratulations on the Triple S Wildcard win! How much does this mean to you?
Oli – The wildcard win feels like a dream come true, I’ve always wanted to go to Hatteras.
FKM – What are you most looking forward to about this year’s event?
Oli – I´m looking forward to ride the biggest slider and kicker setup in kiteboarding
FKM – Who are the riders you’re most looking forward to riding with and watching?
Oli – I´m really looking forward to riding with Dre and Jake but I´m also excited about watching all the others like Eric, Brandon, Aaron….
FKM – The event format has shifted towards one of the S’s, the sliders, how does that affect your approach and how do you think it will affect the overall event?
Oli – It’s actually good for me that the format has shifted because I’m not really an air trick machine. Overall I think it will increase the level of riding on the kickers and sliders because each rider can focus on those two things.
FKM – What are you going to be riding at the event? How do you alter your gear for obstacle riding vs regular free-riding?
Oli – I´m going to ride the 140 Tona Flow and my Wainman Maniacs. I don´t really need to alter my gear it’s always prepared for obstacle riding.
